Pretty Spring Colors on Etsy
New beads in my etsy shop in yummy spring colors. I've been working hard adding items to my shop. I want 100 items I guess the most I've ever had was 70 something. I'm up to 55 but things keep selling (not a bad thing) It's a really fun challenge.

Fusion Beads Reader Challenge-Blog Hop
I am SO excited to participate in this blog hop. I have been motivated to work with different materials, start a new blog and finish some projects that have been on my bead table for way too long. Once I got started I couldn't stop. In the bracelet I used some of all the beads, the toggle and chord (I was unable to get the leaves) I added the turquoise ceramic beads because I had just purchased them and was dying to use them and they go really well with the brown and olive. I have been doing a lot of crochet bead jewelry lately so when I was thinking about a way to use the smaller beads that wouldn't fit on the chord I decided the figure out a way to crochet with the beads around the chord and it worked really well.
Then I decided I needed to make a coordinating necklace and use one of the little owl pendants I have been making. I used some of all the beads, seed beads and a vintage shoe button for the clasp.
I really loved the little drop beads and how well the went with so many different colors so I used them in this little crochet mushroom necklace.
and to finish this turquoise and freshwater pearl necklace with a chandelier drop pendant that I added a Fleur d lis and some french script.
A special thank you to Loreli for creating this blog hop. I have had a beady jump start and Fun, fun, fun!

Tiny owls, mushrooms and ladybugs
I've had this idea in my head for some time now. I spent New Years day making tiny components. I think they look cute on my 99cent mint green goodwill plate. More photos to come when I get them in their new homes.

Reflecting on 2010
Lots of candy and gingerbread house making.I sat late on Christmas eve with one grandchild handing out gumballs and one sharing stickers, the bigger kids were laughing and playing guitar hero. I watched all that was going on around me and took the photos of the star and the tree, kissed my hubby and whispered "this is about as good as it gets"All in all 2010 was a really good year, there were tears and loss and stress but there was so very much good as I reflect back and look at this collection of photos from my phone...
